Canberra City Farm Projects

CCF-logoCanberra City Farm has been undertaking different projects since 2011.


Projects undertaken in 2016 were:
  • Turner Garden: packing up and completing the first Canberra City Farm in Turner.
  • Dairy Flat Road: commenced the setup of the Canberra City Farm Education Centre at Dairy Flat Road, Fyshwick.
  • Stalls and promotions: Attended a range of events, including the Jerrabomberra Wetlands Open Day and Harvest Festival, with pedal powered smoothies using fruit grown at Dairy Road and preserves made by volunteers from CCF produce.

Projects undertaken in 2015 were:

Projects undertaken in 2014 were:
  • Turner Garden: setting up the first Canberra City Farm in Turner.
  • Floriade: delivering a display and talks at Floriade, similar to 2013.
  • Backyard Gardeners Markets: mobilising backyard gardeners by creating opportunities to sell excess produce.
  • Pop-up Gardens: working with local cafes or organisations to create small pop-up gardens that demonstrate and promote the Canberra City Farm intentions.

Projects undertaken in 2013 were:
  • Floriade: delivering a display and talks at Floriade for the first time.

Projects undertaken in 2012 were:
  • Incorporation: established Canberra City Farm Incorporated.
  • Sites: investigated potential sites across the ACT.

Projects undertaken in 2011 were:
  • Getting established: during 2011 the key focus was starting monthly meetings.
